Delicious homemade chocolate almond toffee, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth!
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup butter (cubed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- to taste Flakey sea salt
Instructions
- Line a 9×13 rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine cubed butter, sugar, vanilla, and coarse salt. Stir occasionally until the mixture is glossy and a deep amber color. (It will bubble up at first and look light and fluffy, just be patient.)
- Remove from the heat and pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
- Working quickly before it hardens, sprinkle with sliced almonds. Let it sit for 2 minutes.
- Top with mini chocolate chips and let sit for 3 to 5 minutes until they melt, then spread the chocolate in an even layer, using an offset spatula.
- Transfer to the fridge to harden and set.
- Crack into bite sized pieces and enjoy!
Notes
- This recipe can be adapted by adding different types of nuts or toppings.
- Store in an airtight container to keep the toffee crunchy.
