Description
Deliciously marinated crispy chicken thighs with a tangy orange flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces bone-in chicken thighs (skin-on for crispiness)
- 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 3–4 oranges)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon ginger (grated)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika (for some smokiness)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or cilantro)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure a nice and crispy skin on your chicken.
- In a bowl, combine the orange juice, olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Whisk them together until well mixed.
- Place the chicken thighs in a baking dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the chicken is well coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or a minimum of 10 minutes if short on time.
- After marinating, place the chicken, skin side up, in the oven. Roast for about 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through, and the skin is crispy.
- Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Once done, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Fresh orange juice is key for the best flavor.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
