Description

Homemade Christmas Crack is a sweet and salty holiday treat that combines crackers, toffee, and chocolate for a deliciously addictive dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box Saltine Crackers (or Ritz crackers or graham crackers for variation)
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (use real butter, not margarine)
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar (pack firmly into measuring cup)
  • 1 cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips (consider mixing types for flavor complexity)
  • Optional Toppings (like nuts, crushed candy canes, or flaky sea salt)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a 10×15-inch rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.

  6. Boil the mixture for exactly 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  7. Pour the hot toffee quickly over the saltine crackers.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
