Description

Delicious peppermint chocolate patties that are perfect for the holidays!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • ⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 10 ounces dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening
  • 2 tablespoons crushed peppermint candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Beat until a thick, smooth dough forms.
  2. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, flatten into disks, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  4. Using a fork, dip each frozen peppermint disk into the melted chocolate. Tap off excess and place back on parchment.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle with crushed peppermint while chocolate is still wet. Allow patties to set at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

  • These treats can be stored in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings or use milk chocolate instead of dark for a sweeter taste.
