Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well. Then, stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a nuttier flavor, consider adding chopped walnuts or pecans.
- Make sure not to overmix the batter to ensure a moist bread.
