- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- ½ cup warm milk
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3–4 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. In a large bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in the yeast mixture. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients to form a dough. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
- Prepare the Filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll dough into a rectangle on a floured surface. Spread softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture and mini chocolate chips evenly on top.
- Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 12 equal pieces. Place rolls in a greased baking pan, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake the Rolls: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Prepare the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle glaze over slightly cooled rolls.
