Description
A delightful dessert featuring layers of raspberry-flavored gelatin and a creamy topping, garnished with fresh raspberries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package raspberry-flavored gelatin (Jello)
- Fresh raspberries for garnish
- 1 cup heavy cream or whipped topping
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup water for preparing Jello
Instructions
- Prepare the Raspberry Jello: Boil water according to the instructions on the Jello package. Dissolve the raspberry gelatin in the boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved. Pour the gelatin mixture into small serving cups, filling them halfway. Refrigerate the cups until the Jello sets, usually about 2-3 hours.
- Make the Creamy Topping: In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until it forms soft peaks. In a separate bowl, blend the softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture gently until well combined.
- Assemble the Jello Cups: Once the Jello has set, pipe or spoon the creamy topping generously onto each cup of Jello. Garnish with fresh raspberries on top for decoration.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is completely softened to achieve a smooth topping texture.
- For added flavor, consider adding a layer of crushed graham crackers at the bottom of each cup before pouring in the Jello.
- The creamy topping can be enhanced with a splash of berry liqueur for an adult twist.
- To make the topping extra fluffy, you can incorporate mascarpone cheese with the cream cheese.
- Experiment with other fruit gelatin flavors for variation.
