Ingredients

- 2 lbs Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1/2 cup Heavy cream (or milk)
- 4 cloves Garlic (roasted or sautéed)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Chives (chopped, for garnish)
- Olive oil (optional for roasting garlic)
- A pinch of chili flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Peel and boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes.
- In a small pan, melt butter and lightly sauté or roast garlic until fragrant.
- Drain potatoes and mash until smooth.
- Slowly mix in warm cream and butter-garlic mixture until creamy and fluffy.
- Season generously with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and make small swirls on top for presentation.
- Garnish with chopped chives, a drizzle of melted butter, and a pinch of chili flakes.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use heavy cream instead of milk.
- Adjust the amount of garlic based on your preference.
- Chili flakes can be omitted for a milder dish.
