Description
A delicious creamy pasta dish with garlic and chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 250g penne pasta
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- for garnish Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into strips.
- Make the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute or until fragrant. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the heavy cream. Stir well to combine. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, then add the Parmesan cheese. Stir continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
- Combine Everything: Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken back into the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta and chicken with the creamy sauce evenly.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve hot.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the sauce.
- Ensure not to overcook the pasta; it should be slightly firm to the bite (al dente) to hold the sauce well.
- Adjust the consistency of the sauce by adding a bit more cream if it becomes too thick.
