- 1 package of vanilla wafers
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
- 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix (5 oz)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 container whipped topping (8 oz)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare Pudding Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla pudding mix until smooth and well combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Allow the pudding mixture to sit for about 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Layering the Dessert:
- In a large glass or trifle dish, begin with a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.
- Add a layer of banana slices over the wafers.
- Pour a layer of the prepared pudding mixture over the bananas.
- Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the dish, finishing with a layer of pudding.
- Topping:
- Spread the whipped topping evenly over the top layer of pudding.
- For decoration, arrange a few vanilla wafers and banana slices on top of the whipped topping.
- Chill:
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the pudding to firm up.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of banana liqueur to the pudding mixture.
- To prevent the banana slices from browning, you can toss them in a little lemon juice before layering.
- For a homemade touch, try making your own whipped cream instead of using store-bought whipped topping.
