Description

A deliciously cheesy and flavorful pull-apart bread perfect for parties or as an appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2025 slices of pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Bread: Place the loaf on a cutting board and slice it horizontally and vertically into 1-inch cubes, making sure not to cut all the way through to the bottom.
  3. Mix Toppings: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Assemble the Bread:
    • Use your fingers or a knife to spread the pieces apart and sprinkle the mozzarella and cheddar cheese into the bread crevices.
    • Insert pepperoni slices into the cracks of the bread.
  5. Add Butter Mixture: Drizzle the butter mixture evenly over the top of the bread, ensuring that the garlic and herbs are well distributed.
  6. Wrap and Bake:
    • Wrap the bread loosely with aluminum foil.
    • Place on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
    • Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let the bread cool slightly before serving. Serve with marinara sauce on the side for dipping, if desired.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some red pepper flakes on top before baking.
  • Ensure all the cheese and pepperoni are evenly distributed for a consistent bite.
  • If the bread gets too crispy, reduce the uncovered baking time by a few minutes.
  • Experiment with additional toppings like olives or bell peppers for variation.
