Description

A delicious and comforting cheesy beef pasta bake that’s perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 ounces pasta (like rigatoni or shells)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Pasta: Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Cook Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Season: Stir in the marinara sauce, beef broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine: In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta and the beef sauce mixture. Add half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until evenly combined.
  6. Assemble: Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish: Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Cheese Variations: Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese like Parmesan or Gouda for added flavor.
  • Add Veggies: Sauté some bell peppers or mushrooms with the onions for extra nutrition and texture.
  • Spice it Up: Add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce if you like a bit of heat.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for the best texture.
