- 1 loaf French bread (sliced)
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 3 tbsp honey (plus more for drizzle)
- 3 tbsp butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh basil leaves
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix softened butter, olive oil, and garlic; spread onto sliced bread.
- Bake for 5–6 minutes until lightly golden.
- Spread ricotta generously on top of each slice.
- Return to oven for 4–5 minutes until ricotta is warm and slightly browned.
- Drizzle honey over the bread and sprinkle with basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Serve warm as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes.
- Use fresh herbs for the best flavor.
