- 4 slices of thick bread or focaccia
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (fresh or shredded)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray.
- Brush bread slices with olive oil or butter and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder.
- Layer generously with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Drizzle warm honey over the cheese.
- Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, increase the amount of red pepper flakes.
- Use fresh mozzarella for a creamier texture.
