Description
A delightful banana pudding made with layers of vanilla pudding, sliced bananas, and wafer cookies.
Ingredients

- 5 ounces package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk (or milk of choice)
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 3 cups heavy cream (or 6 cups / 16 ounces of Cool Whip)
- 16 ounces Nilla wafers (or Chessman Cookies)
- 5 bananas (sliced)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the vanilla instant pudding and cold milk together until smooth for 2 minutes.
- Whisk in sweetened condensed milk and set aside.
- If making whipped cream, add heavy cream to stand mixer and whip to stiff peaks, about 3-4 minutes, otherwise use Cool Whip and stir half of the whipped topping into the vanilla pudding mixture.
- Place a layer of wafer cookies on the bottom of a 9×9 baking dish.
- Place a layer of sliced bananas over the wafer cookies.
- Spoon the pudding mixture over the banana slices and spread evenly.
- Spread the remaining whipped cream/Cool Whip over the pudding layer and place more cookies on top.
- Place in refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
- Can also garnish with fresh banana slices and crushed cookies, if desired before serving.
Notes
- This dessert is best served chilled.
- Can be prepared a day in advance for better flavor.
- Substitute any of your favorite cookies if desired.
