Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder (or green food coloring)
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Candy eyeballs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg and vanilla, then sift in flour, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder. Mix until just combined.
  4. Roll dough into balls and place on tray, leaving space between cookies.
  5. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  6. While still warm, press candy eyeballs randomly into the cookies.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving your spooky monster treats.
