Description

Golden, crunchy bites filled with creamy, cheesy macaroni inside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups prepared mac and cheese (cooled)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Scoop cooled mac and cheese into balls; freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
  2. Set up breading station: flour, whisked eggs, and panko mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll each mac ball in flour, dip in egg, then coat in seasoned panko.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F.
  5. Fry balls in batches until golden brown, about 3–4 minutes.
  6. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with extra Parmesan.
  7. Serve hot with ranch, marinara, or spicy dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure the mac and cheese is completely cooled before forming balls.
  • Freezing the balls helps them hold their shape while frying.
  • Adjust seasoning according to your taste preference.
