A delicious and comforting Cheesy Patty Melt Sandwich made with seasoned beef and gooey melted cheese between golden buttery bread.
Ingredients

- ½ lb ground beef
- 4 slices sourdough or rye bread
- 4 slices American or cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- ½ small onion (thinly sliced, optional)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet and cook ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until browned; set aside.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Place bread (butter-side down) in the skillet, add cheese, cooked beef, and more cheese, then top with another bread slice.
- Cook on medium heat until golden brown and crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
- Press gently with a spatula to melt cheese fully.
- Repeat with the second sandwich.
- Slice diagonally and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add thinly sliced onions to the beef while cooking.
- Adjust the amount of cheese based on your preference.
- Serve with pickles or a side salad for a complete meal.
