Instructions

- Make red velvet batter by creaming butter and sugar, then adding eggs, flour, cocoa, buttermilk, and red food coloring.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, then let cupcakes cool completely.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth; pipe tall swirls onto cupcakes.
- Drizzle raspberry or strawberry sauce over the frosting to look like dripping blood.
- Insert candy or decorative plastic knives into the top.
- Chill slightly to set the sauce, then serve spooky and sweet.
